CM/SM CLi + on header

Can anybody help please? I have a CM/SM version 6 connected to a SBC. I seem to have a problem that when dialing out there is a leading + in the header field and i can see this when I do a trace on Session Manager. the trunk connction between cm and sm is public and have read if the trunk is private that would create a leading + in the header. I have also set the prended to + no on the trunk from. Can aybody advise where this + is coming from and how to remove it
