When logged into a system via ASA, is there anyway of telling what model CM server (8700, 8500, etc) the system is using?

Thanks!

dadmin@client-S8300D> cat /etc/ecs.conf | more
ServerType s8300d
....

the very first line is the server type, this is done from the SHELL, you can telnet or SSH to the processor IP, or type "go shell" from the ASA Emulation interface (Not GEDI)

Thanks Mitch. When I type "go shell" from the Emulator, I get an error that "go" is an invalid entry. I'm guessing that the account I'm logged in with doesn't have the correct permissions?

Most logins are not designated as "cm-only"
When they are "cm-only" and you telnet or ssh to the server, you
will be directed to SAT.

Logins that have a default user-profile 18 do not have Shell Access? y. You can make a new user-profile that does have Shell Access? y and associate your login with a user-profile that allows shell access.

Even if your user-profile does not allow shell access from the SAT with the "go shell" command, you should be able to use "ssh or telnet" to access your server's linux bash shell.

From linux bash shell, type "dhelp" to see some of the Definity commands available to you. "dhelp command_name" for specific command help.

From linux bash shell, autosat goes to SAT, and logoff from SAT puts you back in linux bash shell.
