does anyone know if CM 5.2 (or previous versions of definity) had a Queue to Extension function?

Some systems call this Camp-on.

Reception (onex attd) want to transfer calls to busy extensions and have the caller queue to that ext rather than Hold or goto cover.

Any ideas?

thankyou for your suggestions.
however unless I misunderstood, the callback feature is for internal callers.
The scenario is an external caller calls reception, would like to speak to Bob Smith on Ext 2201 who is busy on another call.

Camp-on is where the reception person transfers to Ext 2201 and the call 'queues' until Ext 2201 is off the phone.

This is the Definity feature code/function I am trying to find.

The feature is call waiting termination. It is only for single line sets.

Multiple call-appr phones when busy will ring on a second call-appr if programmed to do so. This would be considered the same as a call waiting beep. You can put your first call on hold, answer the second call.

This works if you have enough call-appr buttons and station coverage does not send the callers on to another endpoint such as a secretary or voicemail.

thanks bsh.

is this an attd feature button or FAC?

(for 2-call apearance phones I should be able to set them to restrict last appearance)

Any other features that can queue a call to an extension?

hunt-groups can have a queue

Thankyou for your suggestions.

The Best Solution I have found is PRIORITY CALL.

It doesnt queue the call as-such, but it does allow the receptionist to transfer a call to a busy station and it will ring until answered on the 2nd call appearance with going to cover.

The only downside is the caller does not hear Hold Music, they hear Ring Tone.

(typo - that is "it will ring until answered on the 2nd call appearance without going to cover")
