Anyone have experience if these sets will keep working? I know they are not supported, but I find it hard to believe that they would just stop working...

you need to give more information. what models and what versions? H323 and 46xxsettings are fully supported in 8.1.3.

I can’t evn find information on the Avaya support site anymore. So my feeling says it will work, but I would not bet on it.

Its a combination of 4610 and 4622. I know they are not officially supported, you won't even find them in the compatibility matrix on the Avaya support site.
Just wondering if anyone had any real-world experience.
We do plan to replace them just be be safe.

Now I understand. You are correct. Avaya does NOT support 4610 or 4622, but they will still work on 8.1.3. We went through the upgrade from CM 6.3 to 8.x and we replaced all the 46xx phone types as Avaya didn't formally support these types but they did still connect and perform basic calling. You do have to keep in mind the 46xx phones are nearly 20 years old at this point.

Yes, they will "work" but won't be supported...This, along with their age (surprised they lasted this long), is the reason we retired all of our remaining 46xx stragglers when we upgraded from 6.3 to 8.1.2.

If you do not want to pay the upfront capital cost of new J100-series to replace the 4600-series, Avaya has an OPEX model (DAAS) for them.
