CM 2.1 software install

We're trying to install an S8300B G700 but haven't received a CM2.1 CD. Our supplier has advised that the software is on the hard disk in the G700 and is no longer supplied on CD for CM2.1 (even though they have supplied a CD Rom drive). Is anyone aware of this and able to offer any suggestions? (Someone else mentioned installing from the Repositary and there is an option for this but we don't know the path.)

I too am having this problem. I have just recieved an S8300 this morning and am unable to install the CM2.1 as there is no cd.

Can anyone help.

Hello,

As of ACM 2.0 release the hard drives of the S8xxx servers are sent blank so you should receive a CD with the software.

To see if the hard drives of the S8300 servers have software already installed just unplug them from the G700/G350 cabinet and look at the top of the hard drive. If there is a label mentioning a software release (eg. 00.1.221.1) then they have software installed. If that release is not 01.0.441.7 (latest ACM 2.1 release) then you probably have old software and you still need the CD to upgrade the servers. Ask it from your suppliers and check your order it should include a code like this:

"Communication Manager 2.1 software CD"
Material Code: 700302002
