Question: How do I get Legato to recognise a local drive (C:\), on a machine running NT Cluster, as a local drive and assign a NT Client license instead of assigning a Cluster License ?

Here is more information

I have Legato 5.5.3 running on a Unix server and I am backing up an NT Cluster. The Cluster contains two physical machines and two virtual machines. I have defined all the hostnames as client within Legato
E.g.
node1 -physical
node1n -virtual H: Drive

node2 -physical
node2n -virtual G: Drive

Legato assigns a cluster license to all four nodes. But node1 and node2 are really only NT clients with local disks.

Any ideas ?

Regards

Paul

Hi,
with NetWorker 5 you need 1 Cluster Client connection for each physical and virtual machines. In your case, you will need 4 Cluster Client Connection. With NetWorker 6, this has changed; now, you will need only 2 Cluster Client Connection: one for each physical machine.

I hope this can help you.
Regards...........
