you need to build a class of add braodcast allow to a working class.. broadcast was under used because it floods the channels when it's sent and again when the staff shows up and all try to check there mail at the same time... we use it here (cp) with smaller broadcast groups.. we have only used system wide once and we have 64 channels
Thanks John,
We intend to only use this during emergencies like when our IP Network goes down
So now my question has to be how does one go about "build a class of add braodcast allow to a working class". I've checked the voice mail side and the Broadcast Mailbox of 5555 has already been setup so it seems I just need to enable this in the PBX and assign to specific DN's?
The PBX does not allow or deny broadcast. All you have to do is know the Broadcast Mailbox Number, and your on mailbox Class of Service must have Broadcast YES.
you login to your mb, and compose a message when you're done, it will ask you to enter an address, you enter 5555 and # twice.
what you have to check is whether or not the mailbox has broadcast capability and that's base of the mailbox cls. find that cls and select broadcast if not.
