How can I avoid the confirm message when closing a window?

try using Ctrl+W to close the window, see if the message appears then.....you are talkin about IE right!?!?!? Jay~

that's a nifty little shortcut but i was looking for a javascript or something to close an IE window. i noticed the change when i upgraded from IE4 to IE5. currently i have a page that closes using the *self.close* function but it is now asking me to confirm closing the windows. i was looking for a way to disable this feature or maybe pass a variable to answer the question.

thanks,
