How do I write a script to close the usermsg message box automatically after 10 sec without having user intervention? The ASPECT help indicates that the dialog remains open until the <Esc> or <Enter> key is pressed, or a button is selected. If usermsg is not the right command to display the message to the user, please advise. Thanks.

There is no way to close the usermsg box without the user (or another program) closing it. I would recommend using the statmsg command, which displays a message on the Procomm status line, if you need to display a message that does not require a user to close it.

There is a problem with using statmsg when dealing with multiple users. Many turn the statusline off. Also statusline messages do not get attention that a pop-up gets.
Another option might be to create a userwindow display your message then delete it later. Basically roll your own usermsg command and give yourself the timeout option.
