Close button disappears

Hi:

I have a form that can be accessed via two controls. Each control opens a form where the user selects a group from a combo box and then either a form view or report view.

When one control is used, the close button on the form shows with no problem. However, when the other control is used, the close button does not show.

In previous backup versions of the database, this was not a problem. No properties have been revised on this form.

Revisions have been done since previous backups, but they relate to other forms in connection with opening a license agreement at time of entering database.

I don't understand what I have done to cause this problem.

If you can provide any insight as to why the close button disappears on this form, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have tried compact and repair. Does not resolve.

The only difference between the control that works and the one that removes to close button, is that only two forms are open on the good control and three forms are open on the bad control.

If I enter database exclusively (shift enter), all is fine....if that means anything.

I have tried everything. Creating a new form, copying form from old version that works, creating a new control, etc. I am dazzled.

Any further thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi:

I just wanted to let you know that I solved my problem.

Stupid me added a menu bar which did not include the close command.

Once I added the close command to the menu bar, the close button appeared again on the form.
