I manage an OPT 81 with release 4. I had an issue with one of my clock cards (NTRB53AA) on side 1. Had it replaced with a NTRB53AAE5. First off is there a difference between the two cards? would there be any issues with replace one with the other? I notice when I do a SSCK full on both cards there is no uart. Also the new card does not list its card ID. When I am running on cc 1 I get PLL lock loss errors on all of my remotes. When I run on CC0 I get frame slips on my PRI cards and then end up going to red alarm status.

Unable get upgraded CPP to Rls 04.00 to JOIN
New clock controllers NTRB53AA Rls 11 switch 5 side 0 should be on and switch 5 on side 1 should be off. But the marking on the PCB could be wrong.
Happened on a number of sites and something to try if you suspect problems with the Clock Controllers.
Try setting switch 5 in reverse.

It has been found that a possible false NO UART message could be generated from the NTRB53AA Clock Controller. This false NO UART could be generated during a manual stat of the clock via LD 60 SSCK command.
New firmware version 19 has been issued and NTRB53AA Rls. 25 and newer cards have this fix on them.
Loadware patch MPLR22468 (V04.50w) (replaces MPLR22211) is available should a site experience a false NO UART as explained further below on earlier release card.
RECOMMENDATIONS
To verify if NO UART received on LD 60 SSCK is false, perform a LD 60 SSCK FULL command which will provide additional information.
Look for the following in the stat result:
CLOCK TO CLOCK CABLE: PRESENT
If the clock to clock cable is present, install loadware patch MPLR22468
Note : this is a loadware patch and requires a system reboot to activate.
Verify if NO UART is cleared. If NO UART remains, contact Technical Support for further investigation

I had some trouble a couple of years ago with my clocks. Two different vintages after replacing one that was suspect. Ended up getting another aa, had the e5 to begin with, so both were the same and I replaced the cable. After I did that the trouble cleared.

I do receive the no uart on both cards and the clock to clock cable : present. Will work on getting that patch installed.

When you said you replaced the cable, do you mean you replaced all the cable associated with the Clock controllers? there a few cables.
