It happens to all the phones.
Maybe 2 or 3 out of 10, there will be this clip/static noise once 9 is dailed.
Anybody has the same experience? Please help! Thanks!

Are you using copper trunke? If so it may be a bad trunk and it is hitting it first and then going to the next trunk. use the bcm Monitor to see what trunk you are going out on.

I am using two lines from the local phone company. When we were using the old phones, never heard of it.

I made the cable by myself. What I did was:
1. got a 25-pin connector (RJ-21)
2. got a 25-pair cable (it looks like a regular cable)
3. wire the cable and connector together
4. punch down the 25-pair cable to my punchdown panel

Don't know where the problem is.

If you are only using 2 trunk's then you only need to connect the Blue Pr on 1st pr and the Or Pr on the 2nd Pr. in the connector. you may have a short on one pair. Use the BCM Monitor program it will help you find the problem. Can you make to calls at the same time?

Also did you program all the trunks to work or just 2 of them, you may need to go to (enabled trunks) and check that you don't have all the trunk turned on in POOL A. put the one's your not using in (Public).

I can make outside phone calls. It is all the same, except right after the "9" there is a huge static.

For the wiring, I wired the 63, and 64, left 61, and 62 un-punched.

I changed them to public, the problem persists.

Have you tried the BCM Monitor yet? The call should go out on 64 first

Yes, a call does go out on 64 first. What's the hint from this though?

It doesn't happen all the time, but once a while.

If it went out on 63 then there might be a problem with 64.

Everything looks fine. I can make outbound calls, and incoming calls sound fine as well.

The only thing bothers me is the static noise. People have been complaining.

Can you use a buttset to make a test call to see if you get the samething.

Is your trunk module fully seated?
Is the 25 pair amphenol fully seated?
Sometimes, if you over tighten the retaining screw and do not use a cable tie to secure the other end, the amphenol will pull out a bit causing a weak connection.
If all the wiring checks out good try using two different ports.
(Sounds more like a mechanical wiring problem, but you never know.)

New found: It happens to both of my 2 lines. Any more help?

Can you talk on both lines at the same time?

Do you get the static if both lines are free or only if one is busy?

Well, I have seen people have been using both lines. I would say both lines are working at the same time.

It seems no matter what: 1st line is on, 2nd line will have static; 2nd line is on, 1st line will have static; both lines are free, either one will have static.

I am going to pick up a already-made RJ21 connector+cable. Worth of redoing the punch-down?
