For some reason I had to re-install SMS 2003 onto the same server after uninstalling it. I am using the same site code as before.
What I need to know is, how can I get SMS to see clients which were there before. I have already tried to install the client again and tried to do a repair which didn't help.
Not sure if it helps, but I am also getting alot of 2702 errors in SMS_INVENTORY_DATA_LOADER.

Update: It seems that if I goto control panel on the client machine and initiate 'Discovery Data Collection Cycle', clients show up again. But how can I force SMS to do this on all clients instead of going to each client one by one and doing it manually?

On your SMS console, go to "Discovery Agents", and select AD System Discovery and Heartbeat Discovery, set them both to run immediately, hopefully, with like 30 minutes, eveything should show up after a few refreshes. You could also reschedule a hardware inventory cycle, aswell, just yo maybe push it along a little. Should work.

Tim will probably have an click this one button and everything will be immediately fixed action though. :)

Try mine, if not, im sure TBrennans (AKA...Tim) will have a post in here by the end of the day. :p I just like beating him to it (even though he's normally the one with the correct answer)

Thanks for the reply Neil, but I have no problems finding the workstations in the AD. Problem is getting SMS to show (Collections/All Systems/Site Code) the Site Code as they have the client installed already.

I know, but running another discovery on them will return them to active duty in your Site Server Admin console...you are remotely and central envoking the action, you yourself already said brings individual machines back.
