A user is getting a message constantly that says Message from server (server name). (Name of printer) is offline. How do I get this message to stop comming up. I have gone to administrative tools, services, and disabled messenger and disabled everything but it keeps comming up. Thanks for your help.

if you have the novell client, and go to "Default Capture" and uncheck notify

if you have the MS client I have no clue

If you have the MS client, go to control panel and open up CSNW. That is where your Netware settings are stored. At the bottom of the screen you should see all the options for notification. Just uncheck them and you're good to go.

Thanks for your help guys. The problem is solved.

The problem started again out of nowhere. Is there anything else to do?

What client are you using?

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

First question, are the settings for notification still unchecked?

Start, Printers and Faxes, Server properties, Advanced

Uncheck all the notification (local and remote) checkboxes shown.

Here is the exact error:

"LA5265_PS is offline"

It comes up about every minute or so. The odd thing is that I've gone in and deleted this print server so if it doesn't exist then how could it be offline? We've also gone into the the Microsoft client for netware and disabled all of the notifications. I don't understand the last post here though. Click on start, printers and then go to server properties??

Once you go to printers, go to File>Server Properties, you'll find what he was talking about. Did the printer delete okay, or does it still exist, its just "ghosted" out. I've seen stuck printers that won't go away before.
