On a NT workstation that work as Web server, I have a file which make a filter of database and another asp file that display the resulting information.
Which must be the location of interogation file: on the server or on the client computer ?

All webpages that require processing such as php and asp pages can only be executed on the server.

I have file1.asp that contains combo boxes so I can set some variables. This file invoke file2.asp that make a SELECT ...WHERE f1=v1 AND f2=v2
The question was if it's a good practice to place file1.asp on each workstation or on the server.

it will only work if it is on the server
