Server 2003, installed Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition v9. Tried to update to v10, freezed. Uninstalled Symantec and installed directly to v10, running fine now. When trying to use TOOLS - CLIENT REMOTE INSTALL option and choosing domain in it I will get message "no windows 2000/xp/2003 machines were detected in the selected workgroup/domain". There is several Windows 2000 clients without firewall and it should see at least them. I have not found yet any hints what to look for to solve this.

Any hints welcomed, thanks.

I'm going to reply merely to get this bumped up. I have the same issues, almost. Deployed the server, it sees ~40 of the machines, but not ~12 or so. I can't figure out why some machines don't show up. I'd really like to deploy to them without having to go around and manually do it.

Ideas anyone? Help us out!

Well, just answering to myself. Netbios should be enabled.

One way to go around is to make TXT-file with IP-addresses of workstations you want to push installation. One address/line, worked but again did not solved all problems ie not going to all workstations.

Yeah, I figured out that if File & Print Sharing is installed but not enabled, you'll have a problem as well. Some cleanup of the NIC properties cleared it all up.

Thanks.
