Can someone shed some light if possible.
I have a 2003 server running SUS which is fully Synchronised. I have configured a GP on a test OU containing one test computer which is XP. I have verified that the GP has been applied via the following.
Firstly carring out a gpupdate /force and restarting.
Next checking the registry settings to see that the auto update is looking at the SUS. This is fine. Finally I have checked to see that the Automatic Updates Tab is greyed out and it is. The schedule is set for everyday at 11am. This time passed 50mins ago and still no logging in "\\client\admin$\Windows Update.log".
From all this info it would appear everything is set up but I am lacking the crucial bit where the client actually understands that it is supposed to use the info it has to get its updates from the SUS. Has anyone had a similar problem??
