Client mailbox shows new mail as read when its selected

A Groupwise Client mailbox shows any new mail as read once its been selected!! Normally you have to open up the message for the bold text to change. I would be grateful for any help.

A mail will be marked as read if the client has the quick viewer option selected in view -> quick viewer. Untick this option and you will need to open the message for the bold text to change.

I re-installed the client, and it solved the problem. Many thanks,

I didn't find the quick viewer solution worked and I'd rather not re-install client as it's a remote site. Have you solved this yet?
 
The only way around it is to re-install the client I'm afraid.

Are you having the same problem as Dan did? What versions are your PO(s) & client(s)? Does anyone else have the problem or just one user? If different user logs into the computer does the same thing happen?
