Hi,
One of my colleagues managed to get some spyware on their machine (Home Search Assistant i think it called itself), and now it won't connect to the net through our SBS2000 lan. I've used spybot and MS's spyware remover and both say there's nothing on the machine, but it's still listed in Add/Remove programs. The machine connects to the lan fine, but if you try to connect to the internet it produces a brief blip of network activity and then IE just sits there. Our offsite IT support suggested we needed to format the machine and re-install windows, but obviously we're reluctant to do that. Does anyone have any suggestions of things we can try before we bite the bullet??
Thanks in advance
