client cannot print on one printer in the network of 4 printers

Hi
in the network connected printers, one client cannot print to the printer right next to him. he can print to other printers which are relatively far in location.
we have windows 2000 server and the printer with problem is xerox.
it shows ready status in the printer folder.
when i try to print a test page, it says file for printing is been deleted.
any help is appreciated.

How do you have the printer configured, on a port, etc.? The first thing I would do is to uninstall the printer on his machine and reinstall it with a new driver (maybe off of another machine).
