We installed our client agent on our SQL server for better performance. However when I browse through the network I can see the SQL database on the server. But if I go through the client agent I can not see the SQL database. Does this sound right?

HI,

On the client agent.... use "Host name resolution"

This should address the issue..

cheers

I really don't know the procedure about backup SQL 2000 server through client agent and arcserve 2000.

Would you tell me the procedure?

thanks,

Hi micmic,

1-Go to Manager-->backup
2-Right click on Windows NT/2000/XP Systems
3-select Add machine/Object
4-put SQL Server Host name
5-Make sure you selct Use Computer Name Resoulstion
This should show SQL machine
6-click on the Machine and enter the user & password of SQL server machine
