Hello,

I've created a Client Access Upload scheme that used to work fine. Since a few days, the upload stops, pops up a critical message "Incorrect function" and then refers to the error CWBTF0022 : "Specified PC file was not found or was locked by another application". As this file on located on a shared drive, I tried to put it on my hard disk (file used by somebody else?), rename it...and I still have the same error.
Can anybody help ?
Thanks.
Olivier

Hello, Olivier.
I am facing to the same problem, and looking for the solution.
When I try to transfer files to AS400,I see the error message, then I can't complete the task.
But in our case, file sharing is not involved.
I describe our system, here. The platform is Windows2000, Client access v3r2, and also PC anywhere v9 provided by Symantec, is installed. We are wondering if this problem is related the combination of these 2 softwere Client access and PCanywhere. If you have some idea, we'll be glad to hear that.

yuriko,

I'm wondering more how you got V3R2 to work with Windows 2000, seeing as how it's not supposed to be supported!
Is there a service pack that I'm missing?

Are you using the PC Anywhere program to connect CA to the AS/400 from a remote session? I am of the impression that PC Anywhere should not interfere with the emulation software.

Hello, jrjuiliano.

Sorry not to reply to you quickly enough.
I am not investigating about the matter at the moment.

For your information,
we didn't install any bug-fixing module.
We installed it ,because some source said it would work, although IBM doesn't support the version officially.
I'll let you know if we find out some information.
Regards,

Yuriko

yuriko, thanks.

We just got our firewall and some TCP / IP software installed recently and I think we're just going to go with Client Access Express, assuming I can get it to work.

I've tried to get it running under a bit of a deadline and trying to use TCP/IP over twinax with no luck. Now I'll have the time to get it accomplished.

I'd still like to hear the results though if you find them.

yuriko,

I have the same config and problems as you have describe. Win2K, ClientAccess V3R2. I am unable to upload a PC file also with the same error messages. Any fix for it yet?

We are getting the same error message CWBTF00222. Our users are on Win98 using Client Access V3R2MO with the latest service pack. This is only happening to one of the users. The others work fine. If he gets the error, cancels out and retries it, it works just fine.
Any suggestions or solutions.

Just found this forum by doing a "Google" search on "CWBTF0022" after not having much success elsewhere e.g. IBM web site. Looks like a good place to be!

We too are getting error message CWBTF00222, but only when the file transfer runs in a DOS batch file. If the file transfer is run in isolation, it works fine. Our affected user is on Win98 using Client Access V3R2M0.

Any suggestions or solutions would be welcome.

OK, aside from the fact that even google returns tek-tips as a result only, and IBM seems to be no help in searches.

I checked the AS/400 Information Center and can't find anything yet. I'm still looking. If worse comes to worse I have a couple of programmers to pick their brains.

I guess the question to ask is -- what version of OS/400 are you running? We already know you are running Client Access V3R20, but what about OS?

And these messages are all related to the file transfer functions going FROM the PC TO the AS/400? J.R. Juiliano

Hi jrjuiliano,

Thanks for your reply. We are on V5R1M0 of OS/400 and yes, this problem happens on a transfer FROM PC to AS/400.

Thanks for trying to find a solution to this.

Regards,

Mike V.
