Hello everyone,

After reading many threads I have been able to find out how to set a CLID Routing Table to send certain unwanted calls to a fake CCR tree that will disconnect the call itself.

Only problem is I still hear that phone call ring through my phone before the CLID routing kicks in. Is there a way to have that bypassed so that those numbers get recognized immediately and not ring on my phone (main phone for the system)?

How do call come in to you. Auto attendant, do the phones ring then AA picks up? You can make the line assignments on the phones to be Appear Only then you wont here the ringing. Also analog lines need to ring twice for the CLID to pass thru.

Yes unfortunately it only works when AA answers the lines......nothing can be done until then.

Sounds like you are AA backup after 4 rings or so.....do as cooks suggests.

If its your ex wife then tell the call to call external out to your lawyers number.

All calls comes through my phone. I act as "first line", so I guess it's like you say... it has to ring a certain number of times before the system actually recognize the number. And unfortunately I can't mute the ring since I am the one who answers all calls.

Too bad I don't know how to code systems like these because I would just teak the code to have the system take the call for 2 rings, then "IF number equals number I don't want to answer, drop call, ELSE patch to extention xxx".

Thanks for the feedback.

To be clear it's the Voicemail system that has to answer the call and not the phone system.
Call ID is sent between the first and second ring on normal POT's lines (so tell vmail to answer at 2 rings) or rings away on PRI lines (so tell vmail to answer at 0 rings)

If you have AA as your backup then ignore the number you see and let AA finaly answer and do its thing with that caller.

Or maybe go full Auto Attendant or at least for a little while until the prank caller gives up.

I don't even bother with voicemail. I've set it to throw the call to a fake line so it auto disconnect. Just too bad it has to ring on my phone first. But it's ok. Better than nothing.

I'm not going to pretend to know which section is inter connected to which section in BCM, but I know for a fact when I add numbers I want to block in that list all it does is play a short message I recorded and it disconnects the call. No option to leave a voice mail. Tested it and it works. I don't want or need to hear robo-calls on a voice mail :)
