We have a Nortel 1000E with a 1000T for pri to the pstn.
If i configure a clid table on the "E" and set the phones accordingly the calling DN is not appended with the CLID in the messaging between the "E" and "T".

in the "T" pfx1 & pfx2 are configure 1202 and 66. The call from the "E" going out displays as 01202 66 xxxx, but does not follow clid table, even if same clid table in "E" is configured in "T".

If i remove pfx1 & pfx2 the number going out picks up the PRI number, no clid and no ddi.

If i configure a phone to register with the "T" the number going out follows the CLID table configured on the "T".

Does anybody know how to get calls from the "E" to follow a CLID table?

is the link between the two internal or external? clid is a feature of external calls

It's internal. The "E" doesn't have the facility to accept a pri, so it is essentially an internal system hence the need for the "T". The link between the two is a virtual trunk. Almost all of our phones are ip phones on the "E", that go through the "T" to get to the pstn.

thanks

Work like it:
CS1000E config
CLID
HNTN xx
HLCL yyyy
DIDN yes

Dialing AC1 and using a RLI, add a DMI with CTYP NPA
In the GK E164 National must have a valid routing entry to 1000T

No config to do on 1000T except to route the call to your carrier.

Monitor Virtual DCH on 1000E to trace the call. You will understand the difference of the config with or without NPA config in DMI!!!

thanks dlesap, i will try it out.

What is the significance of changing the call type to NPA?

Using NPA in the CTYP in the DMI applies the usage of HNTN+HLCL+DIDN.
Using SPN will apply only DIDN
Using CDP will apply DIDN
Using LOC will apply LOC+DIDN
Using INTL will apply INTL code+HNTN+HLCL+DIDN

Changings CTYP must match a routing entry in the NRS
