I want to config a 2050 soft phone to out pulse the 800 # from the call center when an agent calls a customer. So far I have config the CLID entry to show the 800 #. But when I dial 911, I get a busy signal. Any ideas would be of great help
Here is the CLID entry :

HLCL 8007074777

And the build out of the soft phone.

Did you configure 911 in LD24, or in LD90? - It should be defined in LD24 for ESA to work as it should.

not sure how to do that. i worked before the upgrade from 5.5 to 6.0

CLID would not affect outbound dialing. You need to have more information. GH started you in the right direction. Is ESA configured? If not do you have SPNs defined in NARS? How are they routed? WHAT FRL is required to place 911 calls? A lot of things can afect wether a call is routed or not but CLID is not one of them.

The CLID can affect a call if the carrier is looking at it for billing purposes. If they see a call originate with a CLID outside the pre-defined or agreed upon range, they can deem it "unauthorized" and block it.

But, to block a 911 call would be pretty naughty.

OK so CLID won't stop the pbx from trying to send the call but your carrier may have other restrictions in place.
