We've just had a 3300 installed and some of our users are using micollab client as a softphone with USB headsets.

We use Salesforce CRM and our current Bria softphones does click to dial in Salesforce - i.e. we click the number (which is a link) and Bria dials the number.

Micollab out of the box only seems to do a shortcut - i.e. I have to highlight the number, then press the ctrl-F1 shortcut.

Is there a better/fewer clicks way of doing this?

There's the 'Dial from IE' option in MiCollab client. I don't use it personally but the idea is to make telephone number into clickable links that fire MiCollab to call it. Depends on which browser you are using however.

'Dial from IE' is an option on the MiCollab install when you run the MSI file.

I've done some callto registry setting to have uca dial via browers addon's that changed webpage number to callto

Hi jpruder,

Would you be able to post or DM exactly what you did?

Cheers!

You want true Saleforce integration you need an OIG gateway setup.

You can't duct tape stupid.

I don't think it mentions that you may need to setup the callto protocol

Hello!

If the goal is to eliminate unnecessary clicks and make the process smoother and easier for the sales reps, then I guess it's best to go for an automated system, like the click to call function you get from your Salesforce integration. Our company has a CTI that can expand the click to call function to work not just in Salesforce, but to other spreadsheets and any webpage. That should save the agents more time and clicks.
