When you download a file in XP Pro and click open instead of save in the dialog box where does the file get saved?
Also, does it get removed when you close it after veiwing it?

Thanks

Thats what I thought!!! The only reason I asked is because they dont show up there after I close them after the download..I just wanted to make sure they werent taking up space somewhere else on my hard drive that I didnt know about..

Sometimes when you choose open instead of save, the server that holds the item being opened has the info and there is nothing downloaded to your machine, just runs in RAM.

It's been my experience that when you click on OPEN the files are never saved,if you want to save them ,then click on Save
