HI,

I Managed to misconfigure my CMOS on a Gigabyte GA-7DX motherboard. My monitor has now stopped displaying an image yet the PC seems to boot fine. Is there anyway I can reset my CMOS via shorting two Pins on the mortherboard or something along those lines... I have done this before with other motherboards but can't seem to find any info about this particular make. ! The Manual is %^$&*& usless !

Many Thanks
Bryce :)

Hi,

Having spent the last 30 mins going over the motherboard with a magnifying glass I found a little label called clear cmos, shorted the 2 pins next to it and BINGO it worked !

So just incase anyone else has the same prob you will find the pins right on the edge of the board just behind the CMOS battery.. the will be labled clear cmos !

cheers
Bryce

FWIW, it should be labeled JP5 and it's location is shown on page 23 of the manual.
