Clear xlate problem

PIX 515 version 6.3(3)

When i enter clear xlate PIX respond with following error:

ERROR: Unable to clear all xlates within five seconds limit

Is there a way I can extend those five sec limit?

Pedja,
Can you do "show xlate" before and after clearing xlate to see if part of the translation table has cleared? If it has, just clear xlate again until it is completely cleared.

I tried that. There was no result. Show xlate gives always the same result.

What is your nat translations timeout? I have
'timeout xlate 0:05:00'
and I have never faced that issue.

NAT translation timeout is set by default, 3 hours. I will change it to 5 minutes, and see what it happens.

I just encountered the same problem. By repeatedly doing "clear xlate", I was finally able to get the xlate table cleared.

I was not so lucky. After unsuccessful "clear xlate", number of connection is as it was before.
