Hi 95/98 experts,

I'm ready to scrap an old pc.

What command (DOS I assume?) can I use to clear the hard drive of all data.

I would appreciate knowing the exact syntax.
The OS is Windows 95 B.

Thanks, John

You can use format C: at an A:\> prompt to format(wipe) the HD. But a data recovery service can still retrieve data from it.
If you do not want anything recovered from the HD and it's not to be used anywhere else, then just destroy it.

another option;

TT4U
