Cleaning Stand-Alone drive

Hi,
I would like to clean my Stand-alone drive ( an HP Ultrium LT0 448 attached to an IBM eSeries server running W2K3 ) but when I insert the Cleaning tape, it doesn't give me the possibility to clean it.
What have I done wrong ?

I am also trying to figure out how to clean my tape drive using 10.0. It seems to me that I'll have to use the Windows 2000 cleaner and not Veritas, since mine is also stand-alone. Is this correct, or is there a way to clean the tape drive for a standalone using Veritas?
