Hi!

Differents problems with my arcserv backup make me think that my central Database is more or less corrupted.

Can anyone tell me wich files can be erased to have a new clean database?
Thanks for your replies!

Actually, I did followed the above link and started using dbfix, dbcheck, .... and ended up corrupting the database instead. If you want a new clean database, try the Initialize option under Server Admin. If Initialize doesn't work, then you need to uninstall and resintall Arcserve.

i just unsinstall and reinstall arcserv and now, i've got a new problem :
i can't read my tapes since i've reinstall arcserv.
It can't find the names of the tapes.
It's normal because the index has been reseted.
But arcserv doesn't allow me to rename the tapes (it call them new medias).

How can i rename a tape without formating it?

FYI, my os is NT4 and my arcserv version is 6.61

Thanks!
