cleaning a tape drive

Hi,

I would appreciate some help on how to clean a tape drive. How do I find out if the auto loader is loaded ? When I insert the cleaning tape in the drive it ejects after a couple of minutes, is that normal as I would have thought the cleaning would take a little longer than that.

Just stick a tape into the drive and it will clean the heads in under 2 minutes. Pretty much no matter what your drive is.

Click Devices then right click properties and check the slot you want to put the cleaning tape in.

Then right click the drive you want to clean and submit a cleaning job.
