Clean installation Windows 7; office 2010 and just have .ost file

can outlook 2010 be sync up with the .ost file until our tech can sync up to the exchange server later or
does he .ost file contain what is needed to sync up with exchange

Stand alone or network? you can access your personal .ost file, if that's what you mean, or use it on a singlr unit. simply make a backup copy of the .ost file, go into mail on control panel and change the data file to your .ost file.
