We have three new pc's all experiencing the same error. When trying to run Balance / PL in the GL mod, excel opens then gives the error message -

"0x000001ae (430)

Unknown error 0x1AE

Source: AddinWizardBalance::IExlWizard_Generate

Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface"

It runs fine on all other pc's. The E-Synergy office add-in is working fine on the new ones also.

Macola ES 360
All pc's have office 2003. XP service pack 3 (newest version of MDAC)

I've tried all the generic stuff like uninstalls. Our reseller who's working with Exact hasn't been any help.

Maybe someone here has seen the issue before..

From the customer portal:

Error : Class Does Not Support Automation or Expected Interface
Comments : There is an old version of VBSCRIPT.DLL installed. Error could be shown when uploading a document.
Solution : Update DLL to at least version 5.6

Uninstall Office Add-in
Download Windows Script 5.6 for Windows 2000 and XP (don't forget to select the correct language)
Check after installation if right version is installed. If not, then:
Register the DLL file using [Start, Run] and entering the following command: regsvr32 "<drive:>\winnt\system32\VBScript.dll"
Reboot PC
Install Office Add-in

Any reason why you are still on 360? That is 4 years old!

We use XP not NT and that was the second thing I tried. Bit out dated but thanks.
