Yo Fellow Techies!

I am trying to break down CLAN usage for our customer...

I run status-socket usage in ASA and the output I am getting are the PBX Network Cards and CLAN information...

How can I determine how the CLAN to Gateway usage is being balanced suffiently or how should I tackle this???

Any helpful tips on this is much appreciated.

Thanks

IP sets will automatically load ballance across all CLANs within the IP-Network region as a first choice then across other regions if they are direct WAN connected according to the IP-network-region form.

Gateways like G430 and 450's don't work that way. You have statically program the MGC list in the gateway to tell it which CLAN to register with. Once it registers, it will stay on that CLAN. You can do list media in ASA to see which CLAN a particular gateway is registered to.

Thanks Keschber!

I did a little research on the customer's network and have found that most CLANS are connect to G700 Media GW's. With that said that would mean that the load balance would be automatically distributed across all CLANS correct?

Also, just to give you a better snapshot or a little back ground I'd like to provide more details for whomever can get me going on the correct path on a way to better tackle this.
The end user client-has identified a business need for a study of their network C-LAN usage to determine if additional C-LAN's are required and/or are equally distributed or load-balanced throughout the port networks. Also the customer is interested in possibly converting all the existing remote gateways to Processor Ethernet rather than C-LAN connectivity.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
