Hi All,

I would like to share to you some problems I have encountered from our CLAN Connection. We experienced intermittent disconnection with our clan which causes our AES TCP Connection State to be in service / out of service. I performed test board and the result was test number 1281 fail and error code 1007. I also replaced the CLAN Card with a new hardware and with updated firmware load. I've checked the speed and port settings of CLAN Card and Port Settings of our Cisco Switch and both have the same configuration. 100Mbps, Duplex: Full, Auto-Negotiate: NO. Can you enlighten me or can please someone share some information if they have encountered this error before and what was the solutions for this problem.

Here is the book version of repair procedures for those alarms/errors. I would also do a search at the top of the page on "CLAN" and see what results come back. To me it looks like a routing problem from your core switch.

e. Error Type 1281: System software received an indication that the far end has requested a
disconnect of a session on this link. This is a log-only error.
f. Error Type 1537–1538: Some or all sessions on a port are down
.
1. Test the port (test port location short).
2. Refer to Session Status test (#1286) repair procedure to verify repair.
g. Error Type 1793–1920: System software received an indication that a socket was closed
due to an error.
The error type indicates the application associated with this socket. (Whereas, the Aux Data
indicates the internal application number.)
If: Then the switch raises:
Some sessions are down WARNING alarm on circuit pack
Every session is down MINOR alarm on circuit pack
Error Type Application
1793 Unused
1794 DCS
1795 AUDIX
1796 CMS
1797 ISDN Gateway
1798–1920 Reserved for future

1007 FAIL Ping to the destination failed due to the destination down.
1. Verify that at least one destination reachable through this port is up.
Ping this destination (ping ip-address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx).
2. If the ping to any destination is successful through this port, the link is
up, although some destinations are unreachable. Ignore the failure.
3. If ping to every destination fails, test this port (test port location
short), and follow the repair procedures for Session Status test
(#1286) failures.

mikeydidit (IS/IT--Management,

Thank you for your time and I checked this also. However I'm looking at CRC Errors as I am extracting logs to the ecs file. I will share also my findings once I have finished this issue. Thank you for your time and effort. Appreciate your inputs here.

Thanks,
