Hello,

I have a CLAN board that I've installed for use with IP softphones. The softphone users will be connecting to us in Road Warrior mode from an external IP (non-VPN).

A problem that I've come across is that I cannot ping beyond the gateway with this CLAN card. However, my other CLAN cards will. There are no firewall rules that are restricting traffic.

My IP Interfaces screen is looks like:
y C-LAN 01A09 TN799 D CLAN-PBX2Vmail 255.255.0 .0 192.168.1 .1 1 n
y C-LAN 01A10 TN799 D CLAN-PBXExtra 255.255.0 .0 192.168.1 .1 1 n
y C-LAN 01A06 TN799 D CLAN-PBX-CLAN3 255.255.0 .0 192.168.1 .1 1 n
y MEDPRO 01B05 TN2302 IP-PROCESSOR1 255.255.0 .0 192.168.1 .1 1 n

(The CLAN-PBX-CLAN3 is the card I just installed)

When I ping an external IP from 01A06 (which can ping without any problem from the other CLANs), I get a 'fail' result.

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best regards,
Jason

Have you done the obvious:

1) Any link lights in the front of the CLAN
2) Node Name: Have you entered the IP address
3) Change the adaptor and cables at the back

Also make sure that you're not using the "crossover dongle cable" at the back. The CLAN boards come with the crossover connector to plug into the back of the board, but unless you're doing a direct connect into an adjunct, you won't be using it.
