I have an odd problem was wondering if anyone else has seen this before.

I log on to Citrix WI on the LAN and I am able to launch applications from a Firefox browser but not when I log on through an IE browser. When trying to launch an app from the IE browser it gives me this error: "Cannot connect to the citrix presentation server. The citrix presentation server you have selected is not accepting connections."

I looked at the ICA files from both and discovered this: When I launch an app through Firefox it uses an internal IP address when I launch an app through IE it uses an external IP address. I am also able to telnet to the internal IP but not the external. I need to know why Firefox is using internal but IE is not using internal when it should be.

Any help or insight on this is greatly appreciated!

aiotech,
You can usually configure the type of address it is handing out with in the WI configuration. You can tell it to use the alt addr or use the internal address for specific subnet ranges.

I would look there first and double-check your configuration on WI.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply. I will look into the WI configuration.
