Citrix printer jobs hanging in queue

Our print server runs Windows 2000 and we also use Citrix. I have an HP LaserJet 1200 that all of a sudden has issues... the print jobs just hang in the queue and nothing prints. Resetting the HP JetDirect print server doesn't solve the problem. I also tried installing a new print driver and I still get the same result. It's probably an easy fix but for some reason right now I'm stumped!

Try stopping and starting the spooler and deleteing all entries in system32\spool\printers

Yep, I tried that and still no go. I'm gonna take a closer look at the jetdirect.

Well after restarting the print spooler and resetting the JetDirect it's working again after all. Weird.

I have a similar problem. I have a HP LaserJet 2100. It had an internal JetDirect card however it stopped working. In order to save money I installed an external Linksys print server. From time to time printjobs would hang. After resetting the printserver and canceling all printjobs it would then work. Recently it would take an externally longtime to cancel printjobs so i now restart the server.

I hope to purchase a new Jetdirect to resolve this problem.

Scott, is your JetDirect internal or external and have you solved the problem.

my jetdirect is external and i'm still having the same problem. i was considering replacing it as well. once i do that i'll post here again to let you know the result.
