This depends on how your MF3 was installed..

1)Did you install MF3 with IIS pre-installed..Installing it without IIS is the prefered option...
2)Do users go through nfuse/WI to connect or not via the internet..if YES then interogate your CSG and STA services , run the Diagnostic tool on CSG see if all lights are green. Check event viewer apps and sys log for any un-usual event logged. Check IIS logs and STA logs via the inetbup/scripts/sta.log for entries. Enable via the sta.config (something like this) file, the max log entries to 3 from default value of 0...
3) Check to see that your STA service has started and not sharing port with IIS port since by default port 80 is allocated which conflicts with IIS if yes change this to port 81 and change the listen to IP address x x x x of the STA server itself. Your CSG has got valid Server certificate installed and exportable keys marked for export.
4) Then run several ping command from CSG,NFUSE, if in separate subnets to the STA and Citrix Servers. Otherwise if your users connect via LAN then netbios names ping, user rights via RDP and ICA protocols and Remote Desktop Users group via the Computer management of the Citrix MF3 server.
Do or check that all of these have been done and post us your findings on this thread.

Your question up there was a bit vague mind you...

Hi Ctxuser
Many thanks for your reply.
Our setup is quite simple only one citrix server with around 50-60 clients acceing citrix in the same city with leased lines,
we have not installed IIS, we are having desktops with ICA client & no internet no NFUSE.
this server hangs sometimes & then we have to HARD reboot.is there any FIX or is there other problem.
many thanks

Have you checked the events viewer for events..? especially those in red. Check those out, it's probably OS issue as supposed to Citrix issue but until you've checked those out you'd never know right?....Also check for any antivirus software services or things like these on your system ...Try those first and post your findings with those checks in mind...

Maybee you should monitor system resources as well. What type of applications are running on this terminal server? One typical source of error would be memory leaks.

Monitor the memory usage of the server ... and decide wether it is enough RAM available for your users. Maybee you should install software for cleaning up your memory as well. (Hint: MemTurbo?)

Just a shot in the dark. But at this point it could be the reason (among many others).

latest MS Service packs is the only thing I could think of..however check out as to how this would affect terminal services and Citrix before installation...
