Could somebody tell me the difference between Citrix MetaFrame XPs, and Microsoft Terminal Server?

If I buy MetaFrame, do I still need to purchase MTS?

Metaframe is an add-on that enhances and adds additional capabilities to the Terminal Server platform (both NT4 and Windows 2000). It allows you to work with just about any transport protocol (TCP/IP, IPX, etc), as well as adding support for non-windows clients like Mac, Unix, etc. There is much more as well.

Yes, to use MetaFrame you need to have the Terminal Server or Windows 2000 Terminal Services platform. Take a look at for more.

Hope this helps... - Bill
