Hi all,
I'm facing problem with our newly installed CITRIX server. Infact the evaluation license was expired before we purchased the original license. When I entered the original License for Server & ICA Connection, it was accepted. But when I connect client to server, it gives following error:
WARNING: The following CITRIX product is installed but has no licenses.
METAFRAME XP 1.0 for Windows, Feture Release 2.0

Please suggest the answers as fast as possible since the users are not able to connect to server.

Thanks & regards

Did you remove the evaluation server and connection licenses? What licenses show in the CMC? CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk

you also need to either purchase and install/activate an FR2 license or set the feature release level of the server to none. this can be done by going to the properties of the server in question in the CMC.

Hi all,
The following suggestion from Armra really worked:

Set the feature release level of the server to none. this can be done by going to the properties of the server in question in the CMC.

Thanks to all of you who replied.
Regards

Did you lose some funtionality when setting the FR to None? Meaning, the ablitity to inable/disable controls on the CCA tool.

The Feature Releases have their own activation codes. There is no "evaluation period" for them.

There is quite a bit of functionality when moving down to FR=none.
Did you purchase subscription advantage when you bopught the Metaframe product?

If not, then moving this to FR=none is most likely your best bet as long as you don;t care about the functions it included.

If you did, go to the mcitrix site and in the left column, click fulfill license agrreemnts (something like that).

Choose the FR2 from the drop down, you will be given a License #.

go back to the Citrix server and add a license

When it is added, you will be given a number that is the license # along with a Machine code.

Go back to Citrix Site and activate the license. You will be given an activation code.

Go back to the Citrix server and activate the newly added license...all done, piece of cake right? what a pain...

This will activate the FR2 license and the message will go away. Don't forget, only admin's see the message, so you wobn't be confusing the end users, just the admins.
