Hi All,

Got a strange one here...
My company runs Metaframe 1.8 on a Windows NT4 Terminal server, we have published a VB application with an access 97 back end database that calls crystal reports (V8.5) for the inbuilt reporting. I have a problem that re-occurs continually for users...

When they call the report, even though all the settings are set to A4 both in the app on the server and on the printer (Not client created, a local IP port printer on the server) the report defaults to Letter paper format. Normally the user can change the format of the paper and print the report and it remembers the setting for the next time. This does not happen, the report defaults to the letter format every time regardless of whether you change it to a4. To cure the problem temporalily i delete the users profile and get them to log back in this cures the problem for a short period of time then it re-occurs. I cannot find the common factor that is causing the problem.

Anybody have any Ideas??

Thanks,

Ross

I have a similar problem - I am running Citrix Metaframe XP on a Windows 2000 Server. We have an application (Visual CRM by Lilly Software) that calls a custom Crystal Report (V8.5).

For some users, everything is fine & the report prints properly on legal paper. For some users, the report defaults to the letter paper format. The users are given no option of changing the format. I do not see a difference between the user setups. Once a user starts printing this report on letter, he always will unless I nuke the profile which fixes it until it starts happening again.

I have no idea what is causing this.

Thanks,
Deborah
