Hi,

We've just started using Citrix Presentation server to publish applications and allow our employees access to company systems from home / abroad etc. We have a problem were a user can sign in and have access (using their normal network username and password + a Citrix Safeword) but the screen closes exactly every 10 minutes...

I haven't been able to find a setting (or whatever) to stop this from happening...

Can anyone help.

Thanks in advance...

Check for a screensaver running on the server console,or in the user's session that are set to kick-in after 10 minutes (which I think is the default). You can disable these manually, bia GPO, or by removing the .scr files from the terminal servers.

I have also seen this with certain Proxy servers. In the Web Interface Manager, verify that you have selected 'Do Not Use Proxy' and see if the issue still occurs.

Whats your firewall? Some firewalls check connections and after a certaing amount of time disconnect the sessions due to inactivity..

You could try turning on the citrix ICA Keep alive for ica sessions and see if this helps? :)

Hi All,

Many thanks to all who replied to this thread. I have tried a number of suggestions but none seem to have worked. However, on investigation I think I've solved the problem.

On your Citrix Box/Farm, load the Access Suite Console.
Then Click on "Manage Secure Client Access" and then "Edit Secure Gateway Settings"
On the screen that loads, make sure you have "Enable Session Reliability" ticked.

Once I did this, I was no longer disconnecting after 10 mins.

Cheers,
Neil.

Neil again...

In addition to this make sure there is no time out set on the IIS server that your Citrix Pressie server is going through.... this caught me out as well....

Thanks,
Neil.
