Does anybody know if PS 4.0 is compatible with Win2K8 AD? I get nothing in Google on this and searching the Citrix site is rarely helpful.

We need to add a win2K8 DC to the domain, we're currently running in Win2K3 native mode and could leave it that way for a while though we'll eventually want to move to win2k8 native.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

PS 4.0 will work in a Windows 2008 Active Directory Domain, but is will not work on a Windows 2008 server.

But you will need to test this. I would run up an isolated VMWare machine and install a W2k8 domain and add a virtual citrix server as well.

You will need to consider the Terminal Services License server.

As long as the Citrix farm can authenticate through AD it does not care.

Colin,

I'd planned to do some testing as you've suggested, I already have a standing VM test domain. I just wanted to know if I was dead in the water before I even started.

Thanks for the input.

I have a w2k8 domain controller, a w2k3 domain controller and a windows 2003 citrix 4.5 box and a w2k8 xenapp box all working on the test network without issue..

the only thing is the domain has NOT been upgraded to 2k8 native mode.

scanjam,

Thanks for the input. I have been in contact with Citrix tech (who will actually talk to me for free!) and he confirmed that 4.0 is supported in a 2008 AD environment. I would assume by extension then that your 4.5 installation will be too.
