Ciso ios Firewall ???

Hello I need some help guys, I have a Cisco 2514 router that has two Ethernet ports that I would like to use as a Firewall between a cable modem and my network. I need to know what IOS I need and a good sample configuration on what to block.

create an access list that allows the ports that you want to pass between the two interfaces and deny all else.

All IOS versions can do basic broadband router-type firewalling. Cisco does have the "Firewall Feature Set" with additional features, if that's what you mean. The 2514 is a little old, so I don't know if a current FW IOS is available.

There is a IP/FW image for the 2514 in the 12.2 IOS train. The Firewall IOS feature offers statefull firewalling capabilities versus the limited protection simple ACL's provide. Make sure you have sufficient memory (DRAM and flash) for the image.
