CiscoWorks 2000 applets wont load

We have CiscoWorks 2000 loaded on windows 2000 server. The vlan that the switchs and cisco works box is on cannot see any other desktop or server on the network. Starting cisco works is fine but when I load a applet from the left pain everything locks up it just loads forever. Any ideas?

Does your client have more than 1 version of the JDK? Sometimes I got ciscoworks to get better by uninstalling all jdk items on my client pc and rebooting. Then the client got the correct jdk version.

I was having the same problem and I unistalled all versions of java but when I get back to ciscoworks, java does not reinstall on it's own. When I reinstall it from sun, I can log in, but then get "applet started" and it sits there forever and the menu doesn't even appear. Any other ideas?
