Has anyone ever seen an internal client attempting to send SNMP requests to their VPN? I am starting to get these log entries:

148164 12/18/2002 08:44:45.790 SEV=3 SNMP/6 RPT=8 172.17.2.152 Received SNMP request with unsupported community string 'public'

172.17.2.152 is the PC on the inside and its requesting SNMP info from our VPN. I can't see any services or monitoring-type apps that would allow it make a request like this.

turn on the following on the affected router.

debug snmp accounting
