This may or may not be the correct forum to post this in. But what the hell...

Our Network runs win2k adv server and Windows XP SP2 clients with a Cisco PIX firewall.

Every time l install the VPN client the program alters my network connection and seems to strip my DNS password and also disables my roaming profile from working and to top it all it locks my account out as well.

Any thourghts on how to combat this - all we use the VPN for is to dial in to our other office.

Thanks in Advance,

AnDy

When you establish a vpn connection, it grabs a hold of the mtu stacks, therefore, any connection to the server (map drives, romaing profiles) will be unavailable, only the local drives will be.

Hope this helps.

With that in mind, even when l have not loaded up the VPN client l cant connect to the network, does it take the connection when it loads up?

Thanks,

AnDy
